Data deletion

1. What this page covers

You can leave the RHEVO waitlist, or ask us by email to delete any personal information we hold about you. Every request is answered within 30 days.

2. Delete your waitlist entry

• Email [email protected] from the address you used to join, with the subject "Remove me from the waitlist".
• You do not have to give a reason.
• We remove the entry within 30 days, and reply to confirm. The salted IP hash kept to limit abuse is deleted on its own, a short time after the request.

3. Delete other information

Email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my data", from the address we know you by, and tell us what you would like deleted. If we cannot tell that it is you, we may ask for one more check before we act.

4. What we delete

• your waitlist entry, if you were on the list, together with the time you joined;
• any other personal information we hold about you that the law does not require us to keep;
• the emails you sent us, once we have answered your request.

5. What we keep

We keep invoices for 5 years, as the South African Revenue Service requires. They hold only the name, contact details and amounts on the invoice, and we cannot delete them early. We also keep a short record of the deletion request itself, so we can show that we carried it out.

6. Confirmation

We reply within 30 days to confirm what was deleted. If we cannot delete something because the law requires us to keep it, we tell you what it is and why.
